However, before you book your stay, there are some noteworthy challenges I’d like to highlight based on my experience from March 20th to 23rd. The location is quite remote, so don’t count on finding nearby shops for essentials like medicines or food. The closest options are approximately 4-5 kilometers away. The rooms are clean, but the same can't be said for the bed sheets and towels. Fortunately, I always carry my own, so it wasn’t much of an issue for me. The air conditioning, though functional, feels like an artifact from a museum—not really effective. The biggest drawback is the food. They only serve breakfast, and online delivery options like Zomato and Swiggy are extremely limited, with just 2-3 restaurants in their range. For decent meals, you’ll need to travel 8-10 kilometers. Copper Kitchen does deliver dinner, but sadly, not lunch. Adding to the inconvenience, during my stay, rain caused power outages. The property has an unusual backup system that only activates when you call them—a bit of a hassle. To top it off, there was a leaking ceiling in my initial room, which was frustrating. After the first night, I was moved to an alternative room, which was more akin to a standard hotel room. The privacy and a decent view of my previous room was lost. However, when I tried to discuss room charges with the owner, they insisted that both rooms were priced the same—a disappointing response. On a positive note, I must comment that the owner, Nirmin, and the one staff member for their friendly and helpful behavior. This retreat has its charm, but it’s essential to go in with realistic expectations!
